The Heirloom Series is Sun Welding's home and office series, offering the best in home security. The Heirloom Series comes standard with a solid 3/16" steel plate door and 12 gauge solid steel body.

The Heirloom comes with your choice of a mechanical day locking dial or electronic keypad. The lock is protected by a 1/4" hard plate and 1/2" absorption plate, to resist from impact, drilling, or punch attacks . The independent bolt works are protected by two spring loaded re-locking systems, which lock the entire bolt works together. The bolt works offers three active bolts on the opening side of the door and five dead bolts on the hinge side of the door.

The Heirloom comes complete with a thirty minute fire rating (available upgrades to 1.5 hours). The UL fire insulation protects all six interior surfaces.

The exterior comes in your choice of gloss colors. The finishing touch is the hand applied artwork.

Features

SOLID STEEL PLATE

Sun Welding offers from a solid 3/16" to 1/2" door and 12 Gauge (7/64") to 3/16" body on the Heirloom Series. The door frame is made from a solid 3/16" frame for added security. Sun Welding doors won't flex like composite drywall doors. The door is recessed for additional security. In addition heat activated door seal that swells up to 7 times it's size to help seal out smoke and heat. The bodies are continuously welded

AMERICAN MADE

Sun Welding has been manufacturing safes in Southern California since 1980. NEVER imported. Always providing American made manufacturing. The only parts we do not make are the locks and the handles.

EXTERIOR HINGES

Sun Welding offers heavy duty exterior hinge set with a full 180_ swing door. Allowing the door to be removable for transportation.

LIFETIME WARRANTY

Sun Welding's warranty covers fire, theft, and burglary. We also offer extended warranties on locks and entry.

EXTERIOR FINISH

Sun Welding's gloss paint in a variety of color finishes is hand painted and finished with hand applied logos. Logos available in chrome, gold, or black. Standard with a 5 spoke handle (adds 3" to depth), a finishing touch.

INTERIOR FINISH

Sun Welding fabric lines the six interior walls with 5/8" fire board. See the fire 'Fire Rating' section below for more information. Then we hand build each interior from solid 3/4" particle board. It is then finished a velour fabric (variety of colors to choose from). With three standard rifle configurations to choose or a solid collector shelf interior we have the interior for you. We can also custom build an interior made to your specifications. See 'Interiors' section below to view available interior options. There are six pre-drilled mounting holes in the bottom of every safe for bolting the safe down to the floor.

BOLT WORKS & LINKAGE

Sun Welding's independent mounted bolting system stops a wide variety of attacks. Using a cam drive system to gear the linkage these parts will not break under pressure. The Heirloom Series offers six 1" diameter locking bolts (3 active each side, 3 dead hinge side). With two re-lockers, protected by Armor Hard Plate and second 1/2" steel plate the security is reinforced.

GROUP 2 COMBINATION OR ELECTRONIC LOCK

Sun Welding gives the user the option of a UL listed group 2 combination mechanical lock or electronic lock. We offer a wide variety of manufactures from BigRed, S&G, LaGard, and SecuRam. In addition to EMP proof redundant style locks.

EXCEEDS UL RSC AND DOJ REQUIREMENTS

Every Sun Welding Safe exceeds the UL RSC and CA DOJ requirements. We tested out entry level safes to ensure the test requirements.

FIRE RATING
The fire insulation is used on all six sides of the safe. In addition heat sensitive expanding fire seal that swells up to eight times its size is used to fill in the space around the door. The fire rating test is completed by taking a safe and placing it in an oven that is 1200_for 'x' minutes. At 'x' minutes the internal temperature of the safe reaches 350_. The actual burn time of the safe has many factors such as temperature of the fire and length of the fire.

LIFETIME WARRANTY

Sun Welding Safe Company - Limited Lifetime Warranty

We strive to be the most honest safe manufacture in the industry. We tell you everything about our warranty up front. All of Sun Welding Safe's have the same lifetime warranty. We offer an extended 10 year or lifetime warranty on a variety of locks (BigRed Mechanical, S&G Mechanical, LaGard Electronic, LaGard Redundant).

Sun Welding's Warranty:
C & H Welding, Inc. warrants the Sun Welding Safe to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser from the date of delivery. Internal parts such as locks are subject to the warranties issued by the manufacturer of these units, see below. Paint carries a two year warranty from original purchase date.

Sun Welding Co. will repair or replace, at our option, free of charge any Sun Welding safe broken into by forced entry during the warranty period. The safe must have been locked with the combination lock or digital lock, (not the day key only) and been securely bolted to the floor and/or wall. The damaged safe must be returned to the factory for evaluation (transportation charges prepaid by returning party) along with a report written by the investigating authorities. A new safe will be sent to the original owner of the damaged unit freight collect.

Sun Welding Safe Co. will also repair, free of charge, any Sun Welding safe damaged in a forced-entry burglary attempt, providing homeowners insurance will not cover the claim. The safe must be returned to the factory, by prepaid freight, for evaluation along with a report made by investigating authorities. The repaired or replacement safe will be returned to the owner freight collect.

This warranty does not apply to damage or loss resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, and improper installation or scratching of paint, normal wear and tear or negligence.

All unauthorized repairs or modifications performed (i.e.: lock installation, combination changes on combination locks, etc.) will void the warranty.

The responsibility of Sun Welding Safe Co. under this warranty is limited to replacement or repair of defective parts at the Sun Welding Safe Co. factory in Simi Valley, CA., or at a point designated by Sun Welding with all transportation charges paid by the original purchaser.

The implied warranty of merchant ability with all other implied warranties on Sun Welding Safes are hereby excluded and disclaimed. As a result, there are no warranties extending beyond those expressively stated in this limited warranty.

Warranty registration must be received to Sun Welding within three (3) months of the purchase date of the safe.

Common Warranty Questions:

Paint:	Paint carries a two year warranty from Sun Welding. This does not cover you scratching or misuse/abuse of the safe. Touch up paint (small vial) can be purchased for $10 under the accessories.
Mechanical Locks:	Sargent & Greenleaf and BigRed the manufacture of the mechanical locks offers a two year warranty from date of manufacture. Sun Welding offers a 10 year and lifetime warranty on some mechanical locks. Per the lock manufacture the lock should be serviced every year. Never force or strike the dial.
Electronic Locks:	LP the manufacture of the lock offer a two year warranty from date of manufacture. LaGard/Kaba (LG), Sargent & Greenleaf (S&G), and SecuRam the manufacture of the electronic lock offer a one year warranty from date of manufacture. Sun Welding offers a 10 year and lifetime warranty on some electronic locks. We will not cover the locksmith entry if you are at fault for damaging the safe (this falls under misuse/abuse). The safe will be examined by the lock manufacturer to determine what the malfunction is and how it occurred. The reason we don't cover them in our standard warranty is because we told you how these are like any other electronic device you have ever owned. They are not designed to last a lifetime. The locks need to maintained. Per the locks manufacture the lock should be serviced every year.
Failing to Change the Combo Correctly:	Sun Welding gives you as much instruction as possible to prevent this from happening, however, if you end up needing a locksmith after failing to change the combination, you will need to cover the charges. Please keep in mind we can tell the difference between user error and malfunction.
Bolt Down:	We require the safe being properly bolted down to prevent injury. Do not open the safe while it's upside down, or on it's back. Keep children at a safe distance while shutting the safe.
Warranty Service:	To obtain warranty service, the purchaser must provide a letter from their home owners insurance company denying payment/coverage of the safe. The letter must reference; burglary or fire, include prior authorization to return the defective safe (empty of contents), include proof of purchase (if we don't already have you in our system), supply photographs of the damage prior to shipping, be within 30 days of the incident, and have the safe ready to be picked up ( bolted to a pallet, foam, and cardboard boxed) at a location the freight company can pick it up. This warranty does not cover any cost to remove or install the current or replacement safe.

Sun Welding Instructions & FAQs

Dialing a Mechanical Lock

To dial a Mechanical Lock Combination:
1. Turn the dial to the LEFT (counter clock-wise), stopping when _(1st number)_ is aligned with the opening index the FOURTH time.
2. Turn the dial to the RIGHT (clockwise), stopping when _(2nd number)_ is aligned with the opening index the THIRD time.
3. Turn the dial to the LEFT (counter clock-wise), stopping when _(3rd number)_ is aligned with the opening index the SECOND time.
4.Turn the dial to the RIGHT (clockwise), until the dial stops, and the bolt retracts.

Using the Day Key: Most safes come with a key locking dial. Close the door and turn the safe handle. To lock the dial, insert the dial key and turn the key a half a turn clockwise. Turn the dial to the right (clockwise). The dial should stop around 87.

Note: The day key feature is not suggested to use as the main source of security.

Rotate the dial counterclockwise to the number 0.
Insert the key and turn it 180 degrees counterclockwise until it stops.
Remove the key and verify the dial is locked by turning the handle.

Returns & Refunds

RETURNS

As an authorized dealer for Sun Welding Safes, we honor their return policy. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Sun Welding safes are built to order per customer's requests. Due to this, Sun Welding safes cannot be returned/exhanged as a result of buyer's remorse or changing minds.

These safes are returnable only in the following instances:

Safe arrives defective due to defects in manufacturing and/or workmanship
Fulfillment mistakes which result in the shipment of incorrect products to the customer.

CANCELATIONS

Orders may be canceled as long as the safe has not gone into production. Once the safe has gone into production, the order cannot be canceled.

SHIPPING DAMAGE/ CONCEALED DAMAGE

***DO NOT SIGN for and accept the safe until it has been carefully inspected for damages. ***

Sun Welding takes great care in manufacturing and packaging high quality safes. When the freight companies pick up Sun Welding safes from their warehouse, the safes are signed for as new and in good/undamaged condition.

Unfortunately, shipping damage can occur while the safe is in transit by the freight carrier. When this happens, Sun Welding and Superior Garage Storage must file a claim with the freight company on the customer's behalf, in order to qualify for a replacement or discount.

It is crucial that shipping damages be properly documented with the freight carrier; otherwise, we have no recourse with the freight company and they may deny the claim. DO NOT SIGN for the shipment until you have thoroughly inspected the safe and verified there are no damages.

If shipping damage is found, please do the following:

While the delivery driver is present, take pictures of the damages - including the packaging.

Notate the damages on the delivery receipt/Bill of Lading (BOL).

If the damage is minimal, you have the option to keep the safe and we can a request a discount from the manufacturer - as long as the damages are photographed and documented on the BOL as noted above.

If the damage is extensive, please REFUSE the shipment. Write DAMAGED - REFUSED on the BOL.

Then, contact us at info@superiorgaragestorage.com, and include the pictures and BOL, so we can file the claim with the freight company. We will then work with the manufacturer to get you a replacement, refund, or discount.
